Unhappy Internet Conections


Hi Linux ppl...!!!

I'm newbie in linux!!! i got already open Suse 10.0 but how can i set up INTERNET connections???? i have broadband with telewest using Motorola SB 5101E Surfboard modem connecting by USB cable.

Could you help me with this matter???

Try to get a driver to that usb modem.
If you donīt find one, you wonīt be able to connect to internet.

I have visited www.motorola.com/us.

I have only found a driver for Windoze. If the modem is not automatically detected by the kernel,
it is possible, you wonīt be able to use the modem.

There is a mini-howto for an older version of this modem. Maybe it still works...

EDIT: Just found that the CDCEther module is now compiled into the kernel, so manual loading like in the above howto will not help. The modem may simply be unsupported as said above.
