Hi,

I have another PC here and I thought I would try out Suse 9.2.
I have Suse 9.2 here on DVD, and the disc seems to work fine on my PC which
has a dvd ROM.

The PC I was wanting to install it on does not have a DVD Rom.
It does however have two hard drives and a network card.

I managed to transfer the contents of the DVD over the LAN onto the smaller
of the two hard drives.
This hard drive has nothing else on it..just the Suse install DVD.

Can anyone tell me how I might get the system to run the "DVD" from the
hard drive?
I imagine that I have to modify a master boot record..or something like
that..

I will need to know the file I need to modify , (or create?) and what
command I need to have in the file....

How can I tell what file is loading on the disc to provide me with the SUSe
installation screen?

Hi I am a linux SUSE 9.2 newbe

But I used winraw to uncompress the ISO image to the harddrive. I used the CD install disk to boot the system.
Once booted from the CD, I selected install from harddrive then told it the path and it works a treat.
