Installing SUSE 10.1 and getting errors

Hi,
I am trying to install SUSE on my decktop. Everything installs fine till the program tries to prepare my hard drive
System error code was: -3003

mount -r -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows/C
mount wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda1
missing codepage or other error
....
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Sorry I was busy.

You don't need windows to install/run Suse or any Linux distro.

The error says bad superblock. I was thinking maybe the disk couldn't be mounted because it was corrupt. This can usually be fixed running a disk check.

Looks like the SUSE installer detects a NTFS partition.

Are you able to load up the disk partitioner on the installer? If you can then try deleting the NTFS partition and creating a new file system.
