[SOLVED] Installed mplayer from source but the gui (gmplayer) does not work

hello everyone, i ran into a problem when i installed mplayer on suse 11.1 from source, it works just fine BUT it has no GUI.When i try to use the command "gmplayer", it returns 'bash: gmplayer: command not found
'some help pliz !!!

How did you install it. To enable the gui (e.g to create the gmplayer) you need to run:

./configure --enable-gui

Before run ./configure again, you should run "make clean" or "make distclean" to remove the files created by the previous build.

From the website:

"For a complete MPlayer installation you will need sources, a set of binary codecs, and a skin if you want a graphical user interface. "

Did you perform the full installation as explained on the MPlayer webstie? A barebones install wouldn't provide gmplayer. (To be sure you can try 'which mplayer' and take a look around that directory for the gmplayer executable.)
