Installation fault on Suse enterprise server: An error has occurred during installati

Hello Group,

Being new to (Suse) linux, I get the following fault when installing Suse Enterprise Server 9:

An error occurred during the installation.

It happens when starting up from the installation CD. The kernel is loaded, then when continuing there is a message of a X86 lib that has a fault and stays there for a split second, almost unreadable.

What could be wrong? and how do I get to the command line and can I see where the fault occurs? Thought it might be some driver that is wrong.

It happens on a Intel platform with a P4 3.2 Ghz processor (didn't find out whether it has EM64 enabled or not). There is OS present on the hard disk (W2k) that can be erased.

Thanks, Listman.
