Info: Difference Between SUSE10.0 Retail and Online Repository
I am not sure if this is of any interest, but since I have done the work to satisfy my own curiosity, I would like to share the result.
Very often the question appears for differences between the retail version and the EVAL or free versions of SUSE. In these cases, most people forget to mention the online repositories that provide a lot of additional packages not contained on the ISO images. But what are the differences? I compared the list of additional packages from the OSS repostitory inst-source-java with the list of packages not contained on the EVAL ISO image ( http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16015.html ).

The left column is the online repository, the right column the retail version.
Please note that if a package is not available in the repository, it does not mean it's not available at all. You may only need to look in other repositories.
