icon hiding? possible


i was wondering if it were possible to hide my desktop icons.
and if so please could u help.

some more:

does anyone know where to get a
SuSE handbook? .pdf would be greatly appreciated

also im running on a dual booting hdd dell dimension 3000 and my wireless lan isnt working could u point me in the right direction?

thank you and im sorry for posting a multi questioned thread.

I don't see why someone would want this, but you could rename the icon-file in ~/Desktop with a preceding dot (.). It will then be a hidden file and the icon disappears from the desktop. However, you will not be able to use it.

The handbook can be installed with YaST. If it is not on your CD, have a try on one of the SUSE mirror.
