I want may icon zooming back!
 

Has anyone noticed that the newer KDE systems (Vector, Ubuntu, SuSE 10, etc.) doing KDE has a big baloon that pops up instead of the old icon zooming they used to have? I liked the icon zooming when you point to an icon on the tool bar. Anyone hear why they changed that? Also, anyone hear of a "patch" that lets me get my icon zooming back?

I thought it was just a setting of KDE which you could get back if you wanted to. The zooming was/is horrible :) well, I'm not using KDE so not my problem..

Go trough the settings (control center or config files), if I'm not completely mistaken you can change that.

It was a setting before KDE 3.2, but they discontinued it for some unknown reason. (I thought it was pretty cool and useful!) They changed it to a popup Mac-OS-style balloon, which I think is pretty gay compared to the icon zooming. While I'm not saying get rid of the balloons, I just simply want the icon to pop up when you point to it (icon zooming). Some people like the balloons though. I'm just not one of them. :tisk:
