I Killed It HELP

I have always had to start with the safe settings but when I installed the nvidia graphics driver I thought I might be able to go without.

It turns out I can't so I need to know what the safe settings grub commands are so I can restore them.

It would also be good to know what they mean so I can abandon those of no relevance.

I am suspecting that it is to do with the PCI-E graphics.

Please Help

I found the settings on the install disk and it works again but I would still like to know what all these settings mean.
