If you are installing on the same hard drive as windows, just run the Suse installer and you will get an option to resize the windows partition and make space for Linux. The installer installs the GRUB bootloader which enables you to choose whether you want to boot Windows or Linux when your system starts up. If installing linux on a second hard drive, the procedure is the same, but you have to make sure that you choose the installation target as the second hard drive.
