HP printer disappears after reboot in Suse 10.0

A friend of mine who has Suse 10.0 on their machine wanted to get their printer to work, I installed just fine, and printed from all the accounts.

got a call the next day and they couldn't print again! is there anything I need to add to the startup script (kinda like a mount thing in fstab for mounting hard drives) for it to stick to all the users (there are 3 of them plus my account on there)?

Thanks for any help!!!

What did you install?
Did you the HPLIP or HPIJS drivers from HP?
If that is what you used is the need services starting?
Are you using cups and is it running?

I used the wizard, so whatever it installed, and i have no idea of cups is running or not, however after the install it printed just fine (both from firefox and the test page). so my question remains: how do i get it to stick to all the users on the computer?
