What is your ethernet controller?

It came up as Realtek RTL 8139/8109.

I've also found that for best results when using wireless is to shutdown eth0 with the command ifdown -eth0

I bought the HP L2000 Pavilion (Lance Armstrong) Laptop as well, and used the new 64-bit Mandriva 2006 free download. It automatically gave me the option of selecting the ndiswrapper install, then the WinXP driver, and It is working just fine. BUT I can't the PCMCIA to work for some strange reason.

I have tried installing Mandriva and Mandrake on laptops and have NEVER been able to get PCMCIA to work.
If someone has figured it out let me know. :-)

On the wireless Broadcom issue, has anyone just put a pcmcia wireless card in and had it work?
