How to switch back to graphical mode in SUSE 9.2?

I switched into text mode to install VMWARE tools by entering 3 in the boot option in grpahic mode. It booted into text mode. Now I always boot into text mode and I don't know how to switch back to graphic mode...

I know this is really easdy but I am a

So how do I switch back? I don't get any menu to choose while starting up the virtual computer.

type 'startx' or 'init 5'

To make it your permanent choice, edit /etc/inittab (I think it's the first option, where you should exchange 3 by 5).

I tried startx but it failed. Possibly due to vmware tools troubles. I think the graphic mode for Suse 9.2 is run level 6 so I will try your suggestions with both 5 and 6 as options. I did not know about init. Never heard of it but then again, I'm a
