How to start Enlightenment from "Session type"

Hello,
i have just installed enlightenment from a packman mirror on suse 10.2 and i am having a small problem

when i choose enlightenment from the list at the login screen an error appears and tells me that i need to start enlightenment using the command:

enlightenment_start

so i log in using failsafe, type that command and have enlightenment up and running

i need to start the windows manager from session type menu not from failsafe so,
How can i do this?

What is the program that is now called? May be you can create a link to enlightenment_start with the same name as of which is used now.

I know the problem you are asking about. If you get the older packages from the suse site it will show up in the WM choice at login. For some reason the Packman E17 package will not, nor will it remove the previous package. I wish i could help, for both our sake, but that is one operation I do not how to work. The E homepage has never seemed to help either.

so you mean that i uninstall this version and install E16 or uninstall packman packages and install E17 from another mirror, a Suse mirror

yeah, the Suse E16 works but E17 is so much cooler (and they use incompatible libs due to major changes). Since I installed 10.2 I've discovered Beryl so I haven't done the search or tried any other sources for 17. I was hoping, like you, someone here may have the how too. Try Enlightenment.org?

Now E17 and Beryl together....that would be lovely.

Today is the first day in my holiday and i was planning on leaving suse and rpms for a while (2 years now) and try something debian

and since no one has provided the "how to" i will leave this problem unsolved and install another enlightenment on whatever distro i am going to install

i have not made my mind up yet, wether to buy a new VGA card that supports OpenGL or to stick with my 32 MB built in card but after reading a little about Beryl i am going to buy a new one as soon as possible so thanks for the tip

and Thank you so much for your help
