How to read the disk stats info in the command line

If I want to read the stats about hard disk, such as % used, how large is that partition etc.... How to do it in the command line?
thanks

Use these

Code:
df
By default it will give the file system (mounted partition), size, used, available, usage% and the mount point.

For a more human friendly output use this
Code:
df -h
This will give the output in GBs and MBs.

Note that this will not show stats if the partition you want is not mounted.

To see a list of partitions available try this
Code:
fdisk -l
