How to get -devel RPMs in 11.1?

Maybe I'm missing something. I'm extremely new to OpenSuse but am versed with Fedora/RH/CentOS.
I have a standard DVD install of 11.1. At the CLI (I'm using SSH, so the GUI does not help me) I tried:

Code:

yast -i mysql-devel

and I also tried

Code:

yast2 -i mysql-devel

but they do not get installed. I tried to remove the DVD as a repo and add Packman, but still no luck.
I searched in YaST and did not see any mysql-devel packages either.
Can someone tell me what I may be doing wrong or how to get the package?

Since release 10.3 the mysql-devel package has been renamed as libmysqlclient-devel. Try to install that package instead and see if it provides what you're looking for.

Look at using zypper instead of the yast2 command to install packages. ( If not using the gui package manager )
