How to add shut down option to kde logout menu

On my fresh install of suse 10.2, I am unable to get the box to power down. The only option I have in the kde menu is 'end current session'. To shut down, I use a boot floppy so the box does not start grub. After the floppy boots, I manually shut down. Is there a package I can install or a file to edit to give me the shut down option?

Have you tried Personal Settings to configure your desktop?

KDE Menu Button/Personal Settings(Configure Desktop)

KDE Components/Session Manager: General "Confirm Logout" & "Offer Shutdown Options"

Make sure that "Confirm Logout" & "Offer Shutdown Options" are checked.

If that dosn't work running the command 'halt' as root will shut the computer down.
