How to add a service at boot time

Hello everyone,
I want my VDR (Video Disk Recorder) to start whenever I start my SuSE 9.3 system but I'm getting mad at doing it!
I added the script in the /etc/init.d directory and made a link to it in the rc3.d subdirectory named S20vdr. But it does not seem to work at all...
I need your help.
P.S I cannot add a service via YaST, because there is no such option.

what does the script say?

Ok, sorry I just solved my problem...
I installed the packaged version of VDR from SuSE 9.3 CD number 4 and by magic SuSE created the script which I was looking for.
Now I just have to customise it and let us watch some TV and relax...
Thanks anyway Chris
