After battling with NDISwrapper I finally got online I was wondering how do I set up install from the web instead of it asking for my cd each time

First, your need to find a near and fast mirror (fast is more important, but less pc).

http://www.suse.com/us/private/downl...t_mirrors.html

Next, open Yast -> Software -> 'Change Source of Installation'

click 'Add' -> 'HTTP' (or FTP)

enter server name and path to the desired version, e.g.:

Server name: suse.osuosl.org
Directory: suse/i386/9.1
Authentification: anonymous

click 'OK'

You may need to inactivate the CD source or set it to lower priority.

Now you can install software the usual way using Yast.

Is Suse already installed on your machine, or are you looking to install it on a new machine? If it's the latter, installation from CD is much faster and much easier, because you do not need to download all the packages from the web - they're all right there locally on the CD. I guess I'm a little confused by why you would want to do this if you've already got the CD's. -- J.W.

I am running Perosnal and somethings arent on the cd that is the only reason i wanted to set it up. That and If I wanted to install something I didn't have to track down the cd everytime

The Personal-CD does not offer any development-tools, neither sources nor gnome. That makes an FTP source almost obligatory.
