how do I mount a usb drive in SUSE ???

I just installed suse 9.3 on my laptop. If I plug in my usb drive and run dmesg I see this:
usb 4-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3

What do I do to mount/access the device?

Look for KDiskFree in your KDE start menu.
Click on the usb entry to hilite it, then right click and mount it. Easy.

Further suggestions

Thanks for the KDiskFree tip - just what I was looking for.

However, there's still a problem with USB drives as you can't normally mount and unmount except as root. I added 'user' to my /etc/fstab file, which should allow all users to mount and unmount but it doesn' t seem to have made a difference.

So, an alternative solution is to create a taskbar button for KDiskFree, and make it always run as root by right-clicking Properties > Application > Advanced options.
