How do I detect if it's 64 or 32 bit?

Tried installing either way toggling the F6 key for 9.3 on my Athlon64 and afterwards, running cat /proc/version, rpm -qi kernel-default, and uname -a or -m all produce the same result! Which option (32 or 64) should be grayed out in order to do a 64 bit install. Frustrating and silly question that I can't answer.

If you installed from the network, you can choose off of the main grub page whether to install 64bit or i386.

To check:

Code:
uname -a
I just changed my system from amd64 to i386 so I get:

Linux linux 2.6.11.4-21.8-default #1 Tue Jul 19 12:42:37 UTC 2005 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
