Help with network configuration

Can someone help me with my internet access, please?

I live in an apartment that serves wireless internet access. I contacted the network administrator for a domain name, ip address, subnet mask, and gateway, which they provided to me. But, when I tried to enter those values in the configuration during install, and ran the internet access test, it failed. What did I do wrong? Much Thanks!

You may need to be a little more specific!

Does your system pick up your wireless card OK? They are often not well supported in Linux.

Where are you plugging the values into?
Yast Modules/Network Devices/Network Card?

have you checked "ifconfig" to see if youre getting packets?
Have you tried to ping an IP address? (basically perhaps it is a DNS issue)

Thanks

John, search the site for NDISWRAPPER, I have yet to get my wireless working, however, this is what I have read and almost all wireless cards need this method employed and use windows based drivers.
