Help? Slow SUSE9.3 after upgrade from 9.2

I just upgraded from a perfect running 9.2 to 9.3. The installation went fine, I only had to reinstall the latest NVIDIA drivers. I had to reinstall Mplayer as well.

Now SUSE9.3 does a LOT of disk swapping when opening Firefox for example. It also tries to access the floppy drive while there is no need. Even opening a console takes maybe 30 seconds.

I did not change any partitions during the upgrade.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Dirk

I had ZERO luck with 9.3, But apart from that, upgrading instead of formatting and installing clean usually produces wierd results. Try doing a clean install and see what you get. That's my advice anyway.

9.3 is now running smoothly, the problem was some program was trying to access some disk or memory. Rebooting solved it. Just now reinstalling Mplayer, Acrobat reader and a few others.

Very little intervention needed, all my bookmarks stayed in place.
