Help please! Where is the inet file on suse?

Okay, well...I'm sure this is a dumb question...but i'm trying to figure this out .

I found out how to get my modem to work in linux...but i must do this:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=244026

This was in slackware (which I'm familiar with). I'm trying out suse...and need to know where...or WHAT is the rc.inet1 file in suse, and where is it located. I need to edit this file..because it starts the dhcp program. I need to add the -f option, so it doesn't keep overwriting my resolv.conf with the wrong info. Basically, I manually wrote my resolve.conf with the correct info, and want it to stay that way.

Thanks.

I'm not positive, but I believe, depending on what version of suse you are running, you can edit the files you need with YAST.

yast->system->/etc/sysconfig editor

from there, go through the tree to find the files you need to edit. I think you are looking for:

network->hardware->config->modify_resolv_conf_dynamically

Hope that helps
