Help only xgl on root account :(

Hello

I have installed SLED10.
I entered the desktop effekts menu and it helped me installing
the Nvidia drivers for my GF6600GT AGP. After that
i logged out and restarted my computer. But no xgl effekts here.
But in "Desktop effekts" says it that xgl and 3D hardware accelleration is
activated.
I logged in to my root account and discovered that xgl was working nice there!
Why is that? Also i have noticed that when i write "glxinfo" then it says Direct rendering No.
And when i try glxgears it only get 3500fps.

I have the following:
Amd 64 3000+
1024mb PC3200
GF6600GT AGP 128mb
SLED 10

Hope someone can help.

If you want to run 3d games, you need to disable XGL. it doesnt work any other way.

Once your finished playing your game, you re-enable XGL. You cant run both at the same time unfortunately.

I find that XGL under KDE is a bit dodgy. If it plays up, i log out of KDE and log in to my GNOME desktop and disable, reboot, and log back into gnome, enable XGL again through the desktop control settings and then if you log back into KDE, it works again.

XGL very flakey under KDE.
