Have OpenSuSE only boot from floppy after install

Hi,
Recently I got a new computer with RAID 0 (two drives) that has Windows on it. I have heard about all the problems with grub and RAID arrays, but I would like to have Linux again. I was wondering if it was possible to have OpenSuSE install to a third drive, and not put a bootloader on the RAID'ed drives, and just boot into Linux with a seperate boot floppy whenever I wanted to use Linux, so I wouldn't have to risk losing my XP installation.

Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks in advance

Which windows are you talking about. If it is NT or a derivative like XP, then you can use the windows loader (ntldr) to chain load the grub loader. During the install, elect to save the boot loader to the linux root partition's MBR instead. This way, you only need to save a very small image of the bootstrap loader on the C:\ drive and edit your C:\BOOT.INI file to add a Linux entry in the windows boot menu. The MBR is not touched.

Google for 'Grub NT boot "how to" ' for several websites which give full instructions.
