gmake error in postgres instalation

Hi!

I succeeded in installing postgre in Fedora. Now I use Suse Personal 9.1 and also want to install it. I down load the tar file and do:
gunzip
tar xvf
./configure
gmake
gmake check
then I got and error say: pg_regres:initdb failed. Examine ./log/init.log for reason.

Where can I find init.log and what is the posible reason for the error.

Thanks

Don't know the reason, but the log-file should be where it says it is:

from the current folder, type e.g. 'less ./log/init.log'

EDIT: Is postgre different from postgreSQL ? If not, you'd better install the rpm package. If you don't know how, have a look here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=266647
