gFTP help
Hello all,
Suse 10.2
Newbie
I'm trying to run gFTP. Got it installed and connected to a perferred FTP site.
I can move files from the local host to the remote host and back again...no issues there.
I can also view a file on either the remote or local sides but my editing doesn't work.
I've tried VI and Nano but nether seems to work. In fact when I move a file over from the remote site to the local machine the try to edit it, it is removed.

Viewing file MAIL.003
Running program: vi MAIL.003
Error: Child 16915 returned 1
Successfully removed MAIL.003
I've gone into the options section and change the edit name back and forth...one thing I'm confused about is this. There is an entry for the start up directory in the options tab, is this the start up directory for the editor or for the start up of gFTP.
I set up gFTP to work by clicking on a desk top icon as a link to the program. Just can't seem to the the editors to work correctly.
