FQDN

Dear Experts,
HOw to check the FQDN in SLE 12.i have used hostname -f but its returning only hostname.

Try
Code:

hostname -d
to get the domain name.
If that works, but returns nothing, you may not have assigned a domain to your host. In that case your hostname IS your FQDN, but is not very useful.

What is your local domain?

SuSE Enterprise is a commercial, PAY FOR distro; have you checked their knowledgebase or contacted Suse support?? You need to read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature, because you should do basic research first before posting. A simple Google search would have yielded many answers to your question.

What 'point' will be rewarded, and why would anyone need a 'point'???
