I installed Flightgear 1.0.0.5 via the Opensuse repository. The installation was smooth and completed successfully. Now, the application does not appear in the application list - the Flightgear docs state that it is necessary to set some environmental variable in order to launch it, however, I cannot find Flightgear anywhere in the system, so I do not know how to proceed.

Anyone can help?
Many thanks,

I think if you open a terminal and type "fgfs", it should start. You can always add that to the menu manually, I guess.

Thanks Mega for your suggestion. However, typing the fgfs command returns athat the command is unknown. While setting the variables as specified in Flightgear website docs, I noticed that I do not find the "lib" directory in the /usr/share/Flightgear/data directory. This makes it impossible for me to complete the environmental variable setting. Now, since I made an installation using a rpm package from Opensuse repository, and that the package I installed was specific for Opensise 10.1/SLED (I use SLED which is built on Opensuse 10.1), then I am a little bit lost.
Also, I tried to build the programme from source, but I could not find SimGear, which is a required dependency (actually, the website www.simgear.org which provides the files is not allowing download).
Can you suggest something? Or indicate where I can find a downloadable simgear archive to build from source?
