Flash broke after update

My Linux system:
OpenSuSE 11.4
Firefox 11.0
Chromium 2.0.0.1106
Shockwave Flash 11.2.202.233-9.1

Until the update on 4-27-12 flash worked fine, now in both browser I get just a black box. FF gives no reason but chromium states that "couldnt load plugin" Here's what I have tried:

1. On both browsers they are set to clear all history, cookies, cache, etc upon exiting.
2. Uninstalled flash via Yast
3. Manually remove the .adobe folder from /home Its now in the trash folder if I need to restore.
4. Reinstalled flash and all its components

I do not have any ad-block extensions installed. I do have an anti-virus installed (Klam-Clam) but a/v does not start up when I log in...check ESC + Ctrl...nothing appears to be running that might affect flash.

I havent look for v 10 of flash...to reverted back to...is that possible? Been looking around on Google and it appears that I'm not the only one having problems with this version. But none of the info/help applies to linux...so after more than a week you guys/gals are my last chance. I did notice that while in yast there were other flash players listed, could one of them be a replacement for adobe?
Is this version of flash incompatible with the above browser?

Any thoughts, ideas, fixes would be appreciated...I miss YouTube

Thanks in advance for your help !

I use ubuntu on a 64bit platform for some years now and with almost every new release of firefox i get the same sort of problems with flash. It takes a while, an update comes and it works again until the next release. Chrome is better on my system in this respect.

Thanks j-ray for your input...

I thought I was installing Chrome and it turned out to be Chromium...not sure how that happened. Will check again for Chrome, maybe after a FF update fixes this problem then I might just turn off Auto Updates...thought the problem was with Flash...never considered FF...this is a pain. Thanks again
