Firefox 1.0 SUSE rpm

Suse seems to have changed firefox and in the RPM of 1.0 some features don't work:(

example when i click on a link while holding down ctrl it opens in a new tab but the tab is empty. This worked in version .9. Likewise in version .9 if you tryed to add items to the bookmarks they added to the bookmarks tool bar and not the drop down menu. That is fixed now

there are also other changes they made (for whatever reason) like Tools > options they decided to move to edit > preferences

Anyone know where I can find a firefox 1.0 rpm that suse have not managed to mess up?

Have looked on the guru rpm page but for some reason its empty

edit : oh yeh the search (ctrl + f) doesent work either

I'm not sure why you're having problems with the SUSE rpm for Firefox. I use the version from mozilla.org and I'm not having any of the problems you mention. You can download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org and install it yourself. Uninstall the SUSE version first. The instructions are on the mozilla website.

If you're familiar with compiling programs from source, you can download the source code and make your own rpm using the checkinstall command.

Thanks

I downloaded the source a while back and compiled it but one day happened to notice it in yast so just started to use that version. Looks like its back to compiling it myself then
