I have been trying to install suse 10.2 for the past few days with no luck. I've burned iso's to dvd's and to cd's and both come up with the same error:

Error occurred while creating the catalog

cd:///?devices = /dev/sr0
Unknown Error: Can't read
media.1/media

retry abort


I'm trying to install the 32 bit version on a 64 bit dell xps m1710 laptop because it will give me more compatibility options. I'm wondering if this is the cause of the problem because I tried installing the 64 bit os of Suse and it worked but the 32 bit doesn't seem to want to work. Any ideas?

It sounds like your installation media is faulty from your posting.

There is no problem installing a 32bit version onto a 64bit p/c

Might be too obvious, but did you burn the iso's as disk images?
