What file is missing? Where in the boot sequence does the error occur? ----------------------- Steve Stites |
This pc has 2 hard drives SUSE and windows on one and Ubuntu on the other. When I boot the pc I get the choice of which os. When I choose Suse Linux 9.1 (i586) (on /dev/hda3) I get the following
Booting Suse Linux 9.1 (i586) (on /dev/hda3) root (hda0,2) File system type reiserfs, partition type 0x83 kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5-7.151-default root=/dev/hda3 Error 15 file not found press ant key to continue bootloader is grub |
"root (hda0,2)"
That should be: root (hd0,2) -------------------------------- Steve Stites |
Yes your right that was my typo.

Problem solved probably the hard way I backed up the stuff I wanted in Ubuntu and then reinstalled it. Ubuntu recognised the other operating systems and sorted out grub during the install. I will now backup all those things I thought I might have lost.
