Ent 9.0 + eDir 8.8 (env variables not holding)


I am attempting to install and configure eDir 8.8 in ent 9.0. I am trying to export some ent variables. The variables get exported to the environment. I check using env | grep novell and I get back my results that I want...but when I close down the terminal and re-open and check again there not there...HELP! Oh im using root

I have no idea what eDir or ent are, neither I don't know how you try to export you environmental variables. What I do know are the different ways to do that in SuSE:

Add a line with your exports either to /etc/profile.local (for system-wide definition) or ~/.bashrc (for users bash only).

Is it that what you are looking for?
