dual x300 and 9.2 issues

Hi,

I am having issues with SuSE 9.2 and a dual head ati x300.

I have tried all I can think of to get this system on a dual monitor setup with no luck.

I added and configured the "2" graphics cards in yast in just about every combination I could think of.
I also set up resolution and color for my two monitors. I can alternate my two monitors and get the opposite side of the desktop.
I can also alternate the cables to get the same desktop on different monitors (to rule out a bad cable)

So it seems the second desktop is there, both heads are working, all cables are good, and my monitors are working right. It just refuses to display them both at the same time.

dual monitor also works fine under xp

I will download the newest ati drivers...

any other ideas?

system info:
dell optiplex gx280 3.6GHZ
ati radeon x300

thanks
