Double entries for xine in Konqueror context menus?

After all the work I've been doing to rebuild my sys after switching to SuSE 9.2, I finally got around to installing xine and the xine-ui from packman's site.

The resulting problem was that double entries for xine were placed in the kmenu (which was easily fixed with the menu editor) and in konqueror's context menu's.

The question I have: Is there a way to remove the double entry fromthe context menu for Konqueror?

Use the "File Association" editor.

KDE Menu -> Control Centre -> KDE Components -> File Associations.

Find the file type in the tree on the right (Probably video files in this case) and edit the "Application preference order" on the far right.
If Xine or any other app is listed twice, delete one. You can also change the pref order or add an app if required.

Edit: beware if deleting an app off the list, that one app name may actually refer to different versions so check first otherwise your new Xine may need to be added again.

Unfortunately you'll have to do this with each individual file type

Click "Apply" when done.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the help. I'm so used to editing files manually that I seem to always overlook the GUI tool's that are presented to help ease headaches.(insert brick wall smilies here)

I only have one version of xine installed, so editing shouldn't present a problem. I'll double check, then apply the necessary changes.

EDIT: It worked. No problems.
