Question Does /etc/SuSE-release exists?

Hi ,
Does this file /etc/SuSE-release exists by default after installing SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8.0 (x86)?

Thanks!

I think it should do. I have Suse 10.1 and 10.0 and both have this file just after installation.

Difference in downloadable version and CD

Thanks for the information and very sorry for my late respond.

Found out that there is a difference between downloadable version and CDs. The downloadable one will have the /etc/SuSE-release file but not the ones from the CD. - That's what I heard
