D-link DWL-G630
 
i need help getting my DWL-G630 wireless card setup on Suse 10, i was told this cards drivers were built into he kernel, if thats true how do i set it up, and if its not true then how would i get it setup

To see if it is already listed in Suse 10 you would go to: System/Control Center (Yast)/Network Devices/Network Card. If it detects it, it should list it on that current page. If it doesn't you can choose from a list which one it is and configure your card.

If it isn't in Suse 10, you may have to use Ndiswrapper. I use it and it works very well. If you need to go the Ndiswrapper route, post back and I'll assist you.

well i just used the madwifi drivers, and it works now

my DWL-G630 works in FC5
 
my steps shown below,'
1. as a root to install the madwifi

# yum install madwifi madwifi-kmdl-`uname -r`

2. add following lines into /etc/modprobe.conf
alias ath0 ath_pci
options ath_pci autocreate=sta

3. reboot

4. add your new wireless ath0 in /usr/bin/system-config-network
