Could not add update server into my configuration
Hi,
i just reformat my machine and i'm installing suse 10.3 into my machine. I proceed to the online update configuration to do some settings and updates, but it response "No update server could be added in your configuration". I like to know what is the reason for this? Is the server currently now down? Thanks |
Is your internet service up and running?
You need internet service to connect to the update server. |
Hi there
instead of choosing that option choose Community Repositories . Then you can add Pacman, Videolan, OSS etc etc and the software update process will work normally. There's a whole slew of repositories you can add. Just tick the relevant boxes. The "One Click Install" feature also works well. The whole software installation process is so much better than the dogs dinner of a mess in SUSE 10.1 and 10.2 Cheers -K |

Hi there
Glad it's working I think the other option is only there for SLED / SLES / Paid official distribution / support. For Opensuse you need the community repositories -- no problem with that at all. Cheers -K |
