catalog error on DVD

Some months ago I used the pack of 5 CDs to install SuSE 10.1. I got a DVD recorder and burned SuSE 10.1 on DVD to save some CDs.

Now, when I get into installation (YaST), on the part that says about partitiong, software to install, time zone, etc I get "No catalog found on dvd://*********". Eject the CD, reboot the machine, none of this worked.

Searching on Google I've found that this issue usually happens only with people who try to install SuSE via DVD. So, I was thinking: What if I get the first CD, start the installation (remember that when I used to install SuSE via CD, it worked) and when YaST asks for the CD2 or CD3, I put my DVD on the drive and resume the installation proccess?

Should this work?

Did you burn a DVD image to the DVD, or the contents of the CDs? My guess would be that the DVD has a somewhat different organisation, with a single index for the entire disk, whereas the five CDs would each have their own indexes (which may not make sense when they are on a single disk).
