cant turn off novel-zmd service

Hi i am trying to shut down the novel-zmd service but with no success at all.
Yast2->System->System services
When i press disabkle at simple mode i get the message that system didnt succeed to turn it off. When i go to expert mode i deselect 3 and 5 (the only selected boxes) but when i reopen the
Yast2->System->System services the novel-zmd service is still enabled:P

I have also tried to issue the command
akroneiro:/home/alaios # /etc/init.d/novell-zmd stop
Shutting down ZENworks Management Daemon failed
akroneiro:/home/alaios #

I would suggest to de-install mono/zen crap. This will stabilize Yast PM and also you can use better than zen PM.

Have you tried ps aux | grep zen then killing the process. Then you should be able to disable it in run level services.

Either way, I think you have to close it first B4 you can disable it in the yast services..I just closed the update icon on the desktop first then disabled it in services..worked for me..There is a more complete way to getting rid of it by removing some packages..Search this forum for it..BTW my 10.1 boots an order of magnitude faster now..
