cant get dell 2007wfp to have correct resoltuion

Hi I am trying to get a Dell 2007WFP monitor to work on my newly installed suse 10.1. I have a laptop and the display works fine on the laptop monitor which is 12 inches but when I try to switch it to the 2007WFP monitor it does not show the correct resolution. The monitor flickers and has weird lines on it.

PS I have a Geforce 7400 go video card. My laptop is Dell XPS M1210.

Try going into sax2 (in yast) and reseting the rezzz
