can we install opensuse 11.4 into a folder of hard ??
hello
can i install opensuse 11.4 into a folder of my hard without being force to format full drive??? I mean in ubuntu cd theres an option that allows us to install it into a folder of a drive could this be possible on opensuse??? |
What you are referring to in Ubuntu is called a wubi install. It basically installs Ubuntu inside your windows OS in a folder.
I don't think Opensuse has that. There is absolutely no reason you would have to format your entire drive to install Opensuse!! You could create another partition from free space, resize a current partition or install to an existing partition. Not knowing your partition setup, it's not really possible to give specific advice. |

and after doing that, could it be possible to see my linux partition in widows?? and can I format my linux partition and use it for windows again or not? |
You will be able to see and should also be able to write to your windows partitions from Linux by default with Opensuse.
As far as I know, you will not be able to see your Linux files in windows unless you download third party software. I googled "read linux filesystem on windows" and got a lot of hits - ext2 ifs for windows being one. I'd suggest you do a search as I'm not familiar with these programs so can't say. Quote:
