Can I rollback to an earlier nvidia graphics driver?
I had to reinstall/rebuild my suse 10.0 64 bit partition. I had to manually install the nvidia driver and found that icons on the desktop and konqueror have a tendency to disappear if I move the mouse cursor over them or a page opens over them. I can restore the desktop by using refresh, but I have to choose the detailed list view option in konqueror to avoid the problem. I did not have the problem before, using the same hardware so I suspect the driver, which I used the latest, so I am considering rolling back to an older version. Is that possible? I never reinstalled a driver a second time before. I have an Asus board and nvidia geforce 6200 pci express and amd 3000+ cpu.
I've never done that myself, but I'm being told that it should be easy to revert to a previous version listed in YaST. However, I don't know how it's done with a custom-compiled driver.

I have a very elderly TNT2 card, and I downloaded and compiled the nvidia driver on my Ubuntu machine, too.
Simply go to the nvidia website, make sure you have the correct driver for your card, download it and follow the instructions. It should automagically replace the previous driver with the correct one. Don't forget to modify your /etc/X11/xorg.conf according to the instructions.
