can't install software from smart pgp key error SuSE 10.1

I am trying to install a game from smart now that I got my graphics card working this is what happens

Trying to import the key fa6d29cc1dfa8f0c from
error: gpg failed to import keyid fa6d29cc1dfa8f0c, please make sure that gpg is installed, that the keyserver is working and that the package /var/lib/smart/packages/ has a valid signature.

any ideas ?

I could swear the answer to this question was already here on these forums, but it is nowhere to be found... Anyway, I'm getting exactly the same error with a different package. This link has a solution that seems like the fix that I heard about before, but can't confirm that it works.

Smart rpm signature check disable

I would use this for this package only, and then set signature checking back to enabled again.
