Question Brightness & Contrast yet to be optimized in SuSE 9.2 Pro Box ?


hi, friends , i need to know where can i increase and decrease the percentage of " Brightness and Contrast " of my LCD TFT Screen. I have Toshiba Satellite M35X series Notebook running on SuSE 9.2 Pro.

Hi bedi-beparwah!

Try using the command "xgamma" at the terminal. eg:

xgamma -gamma 1.5

That would increase the brightness. Defaults to 1.0. You can check more examples of xgamma by typing "man xgamma" at the terminal . If you are using KDE, I remotely remember being possible to control those things at the control panel.
