bad sound SB Live! 24bit on SuSE 9.3

I've installed SuSE 9.3 and have a bad sound (sound trembles like a bell echo or has small cuttings like a bad GSM reception or broken speacker) with my SB Live! 24bit when playing OGGs or MP3s and even in games and applications

only MIDI is working fine.

do you have any ideea?

PS : in SuSE 9.2 my soundcar didn't worked at all

I have the exact same problem, using the ALSA driver on kernel 2.6.11.7.

Any pointers and help on how to solve this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Bjorn.

I found a small workarround, just in KDE to at least listen my .ogg : in KDE Control Center choose as sound engine : OSS or Threaded OSS instead of ALSA
