Authentication Via Ad

Hi,

I'm pretty new to SuSE but I've got a good idea what I'm doing (if that makes any sense at all!)

I'm trying to connect to a windows network using SLED 10.1, but I'm not having much luck.

I've tried a few different ways, including using the 'windows domain membership' section in YasT as well as trying to manually configure the conf files as shown on this post...

http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showtopic=18932

Unfortunately I've had little sucess with either method.

However when I enter 'winbind -u' I do get a list of all the members of the AD and I can access the network folders through the file manager.

klist shows I do have a valid ticket on the domain

net ads join -U ... let me join the domain ok too.

It's just when I try to log in as me (Steve McCall) I get refused "Incorrect Username or Password"

Also when I tried the method of editing the .conf files, I sometimes had to enter the password 3 times!!

Please help me!

Steve
