Ati panel in opensuse?

I was wondering if there is a ati panel available in opensuse just as in windows. In yast I can see that the correct card is installed (no 3d though) and I want to use the tv-out now. In windows I used to do that through the panel. Someone?

I know there is a program called atitvout to control the output on an external screen or tv. But unfortunately I have no idea about this in detail because I never did use it. I had always ATI cards in my pc's and am not really satisfied, since there are always problems with the drivers under linux. In the last years the service by ATI improved but not every driver is working properly. Also it is very much depending on the things you want to do with it. I heard that support and performance is better under linux for nvidia cards... perhaps this helps a little bit. tv out should work but I have no experience with that stuff...
